Each year, as Easter approaches and the scent of hot cross buns begins to drift through the
streets of Naracoorte, two small visitors quietly return to Craig’s Bakehouse.

The older of the pair is Benny - calm, observant and rather particular about the traditions
of Easter baking.

Travelling with him is BunBun, a younger rabbit who seems endlessly curious about the
bakery and everything inside it.

No one is entirely certain where they come from.

But the bakers at Craig’s have noticed something over the years.

Benny and BunBun seem to arrive just as the first Easter buns begin to bake.

Benny carefully watches the baskets of buns as they come from the oven, as though making
sure everything is prepared properly for the season.

BunBun, meanwhile, explores the bakery with great enthusiasm - discovering bread
shelves, coffee cups and quiet corners of the café.

They stay only for a short time.

And then, once Easter has passed, the two visitors quietly continue their travels.

But each year, as the scent of hot cross buns fills the bakery once again…

Benny and BunBun return.
